Determining your eye shape is just as important as selecting the right colors for your skin tone.
So far, we’ve looked at almond or asian, hooded or droopy, and prominent or small eyes. Today, we’re learning about standard and round shaped eyes.
In a couple of weeks, we’ll get into different eye positionings (ie. deep set, wide set, etc.)

STANDARD EYES

(I am soooo sorry this picture is so small! I’m trying to keep all the pictures similar to make this series of blogs more “uniformed”)
Description: Eyes are considered standard when the lid is visible and have the exact same dimensions. Your eyes are standard if the corners of the eyes are aligned, the distance between your eyes is size of the width of your eye and your eyes aren’t sunken (like deep-set eyes) or protruding (like prominent eyes)
Make-up Techniques: Apply highlighter to the brow bone, apply a midtone shade all over your eyelid and apply the darker shade to your crease

ROUND EYES

This shape is just stunning.
Description: Round eyes characteristics are large & open-looking eyes
Make-up Techniques: To make your eyes appear more “almond”, apply a medium colored eyeshadow on your entire lid, up to the crease. Extend that color to your other V, then down to the lower lash line. Use a dark eyeliner on your top & bottom lash line, extend it out beyone the outer V (for a cat like shape). Apply most your mascara to the top, outer lashes.
