Blog

This is a 2 part blog. Part 1 will help us figure out what kind of skin we have. Part 2 will teach us how to care for our skin

It is important for all of us to know what kind of skin we have, that way we know how to care for it properly and what kind of products we should use on our face.
There are 5 main skin types that range from normal, to dry, to oily.
Compare each of these skin types to your own skin to discover what type of skin you have.

NORMAL

  • Does not feel oily or dry
  • Pores are visible but not large
  • Clear and even, in color
  • After washing your face, your skin feels smooth and comfortable
  • At midday, it still feels clean and fresh
  • Occasionally, your skin may break-out

DRY

  • Feels thin and papery
  • Feels dry to the touch
  • Loses moisture
  • Pale, in color
  • Pores are very fine
  • Skin feels tight, after washing your face
  • You may have flaky patches
  • Your skin hardly breaks-out

  • Shiny complexion
  • Your pores are large and visible
  • Skin feels fine, after washing

COMBINATION

  • Skin is normal with a few dry patches and oily patches
  • Dryness, on your cheeks
  • Oily, on your T-Zone
  • After washing your face, some areas feel dry while others feel smooth
  • Your T-Zone is shiny, by the middle of the day
  • You usually break-out in your T-Zone
