Goodmorning (afternoon/evening)!

As you may or may not know, on Monday, I completed the Whole30 Program.
I abstained from alcohol, starches (carbs), legumes (beans), sugars, and dairy for a full 30 days and I am so very pleased with the results!

You can view my WEEK 1, WEEK 2, WEEK 3, and WEEK 4 menus.

I’m almost embarrassed to be writing this, but here are my measurements and weight before:

  • Bust: 34″
  • Waist: 28″
  • Hips: 38.5″
  • Weight: 136lbs

and these are my incredible results after (did I mention how proud I am of myself?):

  • Bust: 33″
  • Waist: 27″
  • Hips: 37″
  • Weight: 128lbs

Here’s what after looks like!

after one month of The Whole30

In a mere 30 days, I lost 1 inch each from my bust and waist, and 1.5 inches from my hips, and I dropped 8lbs in an extremely healthy way! That’s an average if 2lbs/week!
I bought a pair of gorgeous mint green jeans one week into The Whole30 and today, they don’t fit.
Actually, all of my pants are baggy. I have to roll them up at the waist a couple of times for them to fit.
All of this in just ONE short month.
Granted.. I was exercising too. I joined a 10 week Boot Camp program with Fit Studios. I attend twice a week, for one hour each class.

I am so impressed with myself! I didn’t realize how much crap I must have been eating before this Nutritional Reset. I was eating in portions (like Weight Watchers taught me a very long time ago) but I was still putting crap into my body.
At this point, I feel so much more energetic and so much more confident! I feel amazing.

Throughout the month, I learned a lot about this kind of lifestyle. I didn’t Paleo-fy my meals in anyway (at least not that I’m aware of!) but to continue on this journey, and hopefully lose another 13lbs, I’m going to adapt the Paleo way of eating. It’s a little bit more lenient than The Whole30 is.
And, of course, I’m going to continue exercising!

What I am also going to do is allow myself ONE cheat meal a month, so that I do not feel deprived. For example, in May I’ll be attending a wedding shower. That early dinner will be my cheat meal for the month of May.
