A smokey eye is easy to achieve. It’s classic look that can suit just about anyone! You could use neutrals but don’t shy away from bolder, more intense shades.

Here are a few tips to help you along the way!

  1. Apply your eyes first then your foundation, this way you won’t have to worry about fall out. Just clean up with a makeup remover and move on to the rest of your face.
  2. Depending on your shade of eyeshadow, use a matching primer. (ie if your eyeshadow is a charcoal grey or black, use a primer like MAC Paint Pot in Blackground) This will not only give your eyeshadow something to stick to but also make the look longer lasting.
  3. Using a flat brush, pat the shadow onto your lid then blend the edges with a fluffy brush. I like to use a transition color in the crease.
  4. If you are using more than one eyeshadow, start from the outsides of your lid working your way in. Use sweeping motions to blend with a fluffy brush
