I’m going to start off by saying I’m not very impressed with these eyeshadows at all. For a drugstore brand, I didn’t have high hopes for these shadows to begin with so I can’t say I’m disappointed but I’m definitely not impressed.
I bought Milani Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows in Ready to Wear because I was attracted to the sleek palette, shimmery neutrals and golds, and because I’ve always wanted to try Milani. Actually, I had no idea they were sold in Canada.
Ready to Wear has “six intense eye color bars” (excerpt from Milani website) that you can use wet, for a more intense color or dry, for a shimmer effect.
The finish in this Ready to Wear palette is a mix of pearl, shimmer, and matte.
I’ll list the pros first, since there’s less than cons!
- When worn with a primer, these shadows do not crease
- Sleek palette, clear lid, portable
- Can be used wet or dry
- Pretty to look at
Now for my long list of cons:
- Shadows crease without a primer
- Color pay-off is poor
- Slight issue with picking up color because the shadows are too close together
- Shadows are very fragile, can be broken easily
- Difficult to blend
- Shadows are sort of chalky/powdery
- Too much fall-out
- The sponge applicator in the palette is a toss out
