Whether you’ve booked your microblading/nanoblading/ powder brows, eyeliner or lash line enhancement, and/or lip blush tattoo, it’s important to be aware of the pre and post-care instructions to ensure the best results and optimal healing. These are the essential steps for pre and post-care for permanent makeup:
PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL PMU including Brows:
- Please do not drink any caffeine or alcohol the night before and day of your appointment
- Avoid blood thinning medication. If you are on blood thinners, please talk to your Doctor before scheduling an appointment
- Avoid sun exposure & tanning. We cannot tattoo on burned or compromised skin
- Please discontinue retinol for two weeks before.
For Eyeliner/Lash Line Enhancement, including ALL PMU and:
- Please arrive with clean eyes and no makeup
- We cannot perform this service if you have a sty, blepharitis, recent eye surgeries, or eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, psoriasis around the eye area.
For Lip Blush, including ALL PMU and:
- If you are prone to cold sores, please take an anti-viral, as directed. We have a Medical Director on staff, should you need a prescription.
- Exfoliate & keep lips hydrated for 72hrs before
POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL PMU, including Brows:
- Gently wash with water and gauze. Pat dry & keep dry otherwise.
- Apply ointment provided
- Do not pick scabs. Let it fall off naturally
- Protect from the sun by wearing SPF
- Avoid wearing makeup on the treatment areas until fully healed
- Avoid vigorous exercise until fully healed
- Avoid pools, saunas, hot tubs, and excessive sweating until fully healed
- Follow the advice of your PhiArtist for personalized instructions based on your needs
For Lip Blush, including ALL PMU and:
- Avoid spicy food
- Keep lips hydrated with Vaseline for faster healing
- Follow the advice of your PhiArtist for personalized instructions based on your needs
For Eyeliner/Lash Line Enhancement, including ALL PMU and:
- Be gentle. Do not rub your eyes
- Follow the advice of your PhiArtist for personalized instructions based on your needs
