I can’t lie to you. I only bought this mascara because of it’s pretty case. I was drawn to the black & gold.
I don’t normally buy volume mascara. My eyelashes have volume but they lack definition/thickness so for the most part, I buy mascara for definition/thickening. If you want volume, this is the mascara for you. In just a few coats, you get extreme length and slightly  bolder lashes! I have not experienced any clumping, smudging or flaking but I have noticed that the mascara sort of disappears throughout the day.
I’ve been reading other reviews online for this mascara and they’re not good but it works for me. Regardless, for $6.99- it does what it’s supposed to.
