I’ve always wanted lash extensions but had this misguided theory in my head about lash damage, or lashes falling out. I was frightened. Until I realized that if your stylist is certified, that stuff does not happen!
Anyways, after I met Sommer, I decided I was going to do it. I was going to get lash extensions.

A couple of weeks ago, I went back to Sommer for a relash. The relash took less than 40 minutes. Sommer basically added new extensions to the new adult lashes to replace the lashes that shed. The whole process was quite relaxing.
I arrived to my relash appointment about half hour early, so she had another client before me. After that client left, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Sommer sanitizes everything. From the bed you lay on, to the tools she uses. Even her hands, and each mascara wand and eye patch she uses are brand new, sealed in it’s package.
Noteworthy: They are collagen eye patches and feel so awesome under your eyes, cool and smooth!
Sommer started by priming my lashes to clean them. Then proceeded to work quickly and gently to fill in my lashes that way I never have to use mascara again.
Caring for your lashes is so easy!
- You can wet them after 24hrs but avoid steam for 36hrs
- Keep your lashes away from oils, especially your oily makeup remover!
- Avoid liquid liner (although, Flirt has liquid liner specifically designed for lash extensions for $12)
- Use a water-based mascara (but really, you don’t need mascara!)
- Don’t pull or tug on them
- Comb them through every couple of days
