It took me a little while to like this mascara. At first, the formula was way too fluid and didn’t really do anything but make my lashes look wet – not cute!
After about a weeks worth of use, the formula finally started to thicken and the kohl pigments kicked in to make the lashes look matte (hence “smoky”)

The key to the Colossal Smoky Eyes Mascara is not letting it dry between coats. If you do, you’ll get a sticky, clumping mess – also, not cute! But if you just apply coats on one eye at a time, without dry time in between, your lashes will be smooth, more defined, not clumpy or sticky, and longer.

The Colossal brush is over sized and will smudge up your top lash line if you get too close to the root. I hate when this happens! I really wish mascara wands were smaller, overall.

Maybelline Volum’Express the Colossal Smoky Eyes Mascara isn’t my favourite but it’s okay. I don’t think I’d run out and grab another when this runs out, though.
