Held at the beautiful Royal Conservatory of Music in Yorkville, beauty bloggers, fashion bloggers, and media personnel alike gathered in the Leslie and Anna Dan Galleries for drinks, appetizers, lip touch ups and a short presentation about the new fragrance by Elizabeth Arden, Untold, featuring special guest Clement Gavarry (IFF Perfumer), who flew in from France to share his inspiration for the new perfume.
We also got a sneak peek into the world of celebrity fragrances and what’s to come this year with their Beautiful Color line. From Justin Bieber, to T-Swift, One Direction, and Nicki Minaj.
Having just come from work, I headed over to the lip touch up station to glam up my look a little. The artist used a new lip liner from Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color line in Natural and then mixed two lippys together (Tropical & Sunburst) to create a color that complimented my blouse (seen below)

Next stop was Justin Bieber’s fragrance, The Key. I’ll admit, I’m not normally a fan of celebrity perfume nor am I a fan of Justin Bieber so I didn’t have high hopes for this perfume BUT I was pleasantly surprised. The Key is a very sophisticated scent, not what I expected a fragrance from Bieber to smell like. The Key will be in stores in August 2013.
Top notes: juicy mandarin, crisp pear, boysenberry, and osmanthus blossoms
Mid notes: pink jasmine, water lily, and peach nectar
Base notes: luminous musks, woods, vanilla, and raspberry cream

Next was One Direction, Our Moment. Again, not a fan of 1D but the fragrance is pretty good and the bottle is really nice! The lid is a crown because, well you know, us ladies are queens!
Top notes: pink grapefruit, wild berries, red currants
Mid notes: jasmine petals, fresh freesia, frangipani
Dry notes: creamy musk, sheer woods, whie patchouli
One Direction, Our Moment
Next on the celebrity fragrance front is T-Swifts new one, already in-stores, Taylor by Taylor Swift. This scent is very feminine but a little too floral for my liking. I love the vintage-inspired bottle, though!
Top notes: lychee, tangerine, magnolia petals
Mid notes: peonies, hydrangeas, vanilla orchids
Base notes: creamy sandalwood, apricot nectar, cashmere musk, and woods

I also got to hang out with Nicki Minaj! Well not really ;) Her fragrance is okay but the bottle is SO creepy!

Next is a fragrance I can get down with- Viva La Juicy Noir. I really love the original Viva La Juicy, it’s a great summer scent and the new Noir is a deeper, sexier scent for evening wear.
Top notes: wild berries, sparkling mandarin, Mara strawberry
Mid notes: honeysuckle, gardenia petals, jasmine sambac
Base notes: amber, caramel, creamy vanilla, and sandalwood
And, of course, the reason we were all at this event: Untold by Elizabeth Arden. The fragrance is feminine, sensual, and sophisticated. This beautiful bottle represents the versatile nature of the modern woman. The bottle takes on an appearance that is different at every angle.
Keynote speaker Clement Gavarry explains his inspiration for Untold, “I wanted Untold to be a harmonious balance of the many facets of a woman, which, for me, is the source of genuine beauty. I imagined her sometimes adventurous, sometimes romantic, yet always equally confident”
Each note in the frangrance was selected to evoke a characteristic of the Untold woman:
- Vibrant: Pink Pepper and Bergamot
- Unpredictable: Pear and Blackcurrant
- Refined: Gardenia petals an Egyptian Jasmine
- Mysterious: Patchouli Heart and Sandalwood
- Sensual: Amber and Musk
