Mixing foundation isn’t rocket science. It’s how us Make Up Artists keep our kits condensed. It’s virtually impossible to carry every shade of foundation.
So here is what we do:  We take one that is too light, and one that is too dark, and mix until we get our desired shade.

Keep in mind that if one foundation is oil-based while the other is water-based, it will separate.
